The breakout box is used at the intermediate and depot levels of maintenance to check engine problems which are related to the engine yellow, blue and white harnesses --- the box consists of 31 toggle switches which allow testing between any single wire in the harness and all others tied to its shield --- a 32nd switch allows testing between any single wire in the harness and its shield --- binding posts allow connection of ohmmeter or megger.
